Our Core Values

We are committed to the Montessori philosophy:- Our curriculum is based on the Montessori approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori.

  • We prepare a multi-age, child-focused, interactive learning environment that offers meaningful, productive, and gratifying work; allows children to learn using all aspects of their being and to freely choose their work; encourages exploration and reflection; and offers opportunities for both individual and cooperative work.

  • We create a warm, welcoming, and peaceful learning environment where all children are respected and loved as unique individuals.

  • We believe that all children are born with unique strengths and challenges and they learn best when their education is individualized.

  • We believe that a child's emotional, social, creative, and physical development is equally important to establishing a strong foundation.

  • We value self-respect, respect for others as human beings, and respect for our environment. This provides a safe and nurturing environment that encourages joy and wonderment.

  • We believe in education that set a foundation for academic success, using individualized instruction and multi sensory approach to learning.

  • We believe that every teacher and staff member can make a different in the life of the children and families we serve.

  • We believe in 21st century learning skills.  At Louisville Montessori Prep School, children learn critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration, technology, comprehension of new ideas, problem solving and decision making which makes them grounded in the 21st century in a method of education that celebrates independence and individuality, Montessori students become successful adults and lifelong learners.
